I come from an immigrant family that came to Canada back in the 80s. My parents were teachers back in Vietnam and coming to Canada, they work hard to just give me a roof over my shoulder, 3 meals a day, some clothes and access to education. I’m grateful that they made that long journey, leaving everything behind just for a chance to build a new legacy. So like many immigrant child, I worked my way to pay for University and once I graduated in 2005 from University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree, I was happy to land a job with one of the Big Banks on Bay Street.

And like many young hungry High Achiever, I quickly found myself looking for something more. Though I enjoyed my job as an investment analyst, and the steady pay cheque, I felt that there must be more to life than my 10 hours daily job of starring at the computer screen and analyzing trends and data. So after two years working in the Corporate World, regardless of my fear of the unknown, I found the courage to leave my job to go find that “calling” – that thing that I’m meant to be or do. This marked the beginning of my Mindful Hustling Journey – a 15 years journey filled with ups and downs, a lot of self-doubts mixed with inspirations, challenges & triumphts. However, looking back and connecting the dots, I realized I had to go through those lessons on business & relationships, and most important of all, self discoveries, in order for me to achieve what I have today.
